Progress and Timeline

Pioneer Wind Park I and II have successfully reached the following milestones:

Power Purchase Agreements for Pioneer Wind Park I and Pioneer Wind Park II were signed in June 2010 with Rocky Mountain Power (Pacificorp). Each Power Purchase Agreement is for 50MW.

Converse County granted the projects a permit to construct in May, 2011.

On June 13, 2011, Wyoming's Industrial Siting Council voted to approve a permit to construct pending several permit conditions.

Engineering and improvements to the County road that will be used to access the project sites, Mormon Canyon Road, will begin in August, 2011. Construction of the turbines will occur in 2012. For construction updates, click here.

Pioneer Wind Park will conclude its two years of environmental surveys before the end of 2011, in compliance with Wyoming Game and Fish Department recommendations.
