Pioneer Wind Park Overview

Two proposed wind energy projects in Converse County, Wyoming.

Wasatch Wind's Pioneer Wind Park consists of two proposed 50 MW wind energy projects in Converse County, Wyoming. The turbines will be located approximately 9 miles south of the town of Glenrock and 7 miles south of Interstate 25, in Converse County, Wyoming. Both projects will be built in 2012.

The Pioneer Wind Park projects will be located entirely on private land. 31 GE 1.6 xle turbines will be used in each project. At full output, both projects can generate electricity to power the equivalent of approximately 35,000 typical homes per year.

Hundreds of individuals will be used during construction and millions of dollars in tax revenue will be generated for the local communities and the State of Wyoming over the next 20 years.
